The opportunity

The business is growing strongly and as production volumes continue to improve, the responsibilities of the critical role of full time Engineering Technologist is an exciting opportunity for a suitable and experienced applicant who will optimise and coordinate the company’s manufacturing processes and associated manufacturing operations.

Tenure - full time ongoing

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machines and achieve maximum efficiency under safe operating conditions
• Optimising costs of production and design
• Monitoring processes to ensure procedures are aligned with engineering principles and safety regulations
• Performing test procedures as and when required
• Managing the handling and storage of materials products and equipment
• Maintaining the required work performance and overseeing best practise waste handling
• Establish specifications and supervise manufacturing to ensure all quality and production requirements are met.

To be considered we expect to see :

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or other appropriately relevant fields
• Well-developed technical abilities ideally gained in the foods manufacturing / FMCG sector
• At least 1 to 3 years, or more, highly relevant professional experience in the food industry or similar
• Ability to work under pressure
• Well-developed communication skills, and team management / building skills
• Ideally you will have strong knowledge in food manufacturing
• Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia
