Role Overview: Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician provides professional support for the Steriles Business Unit, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory standards, overseeing all engineering activities related to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain equipment for manufacturing, filling, inspection, and packaging of syringes and vials.
• Perform shift work, including repairs, PPM, and maintenance activities.
• Support projects, product launches, and change controls, ensuring GMP and safety documentation is maintained.
• Manage SAP/MERPS activities like Work Orders, Notifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise contractors, ensure GMP standards are met, and calibrate equipment.
• Oversee building infrastructure, including maintenance of air compressors, VHP, and refrigeration systems, maintaining compliance with site procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

Basic Skills:

• Industry-recognized apprenticeship with post-apprenticeship experience; HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with GSK/pharmaceutical processes and SAP systems.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in complex environments.
• Knowledge of cGMP and GMP environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in classified areas like ISO 5 or ISO 7.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to plan, execute, and meet goals under pressure.
