Multi Skilled Engineering Technician

Blow Moulding Department

Severnside

Permanent contract

4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights between 7-7 (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

Due to an internal move, we are now seeking a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician to join us within our Blow Moulding site at Severnside.

As a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician, your purpose is to provide high-quality scheduled and unplanned/reactive maintenance across the site. You will actively identify root causes and bring equipment back into service as quickly as possible, while seeking and implementing cost-effective improvements to site assets and equipment to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities as an Engineering Technician

• Ensure familiarity with all drawings—Electrical, Pneumatic, and Mechanical.
• Basic automation skills for fault finding and remediation; strong electrical skills (HNC equivalent); sound mechanical skills for diagnosis and replacement.
• Diligently complete all maintenance tasks, including PM, CBM, CI, and corrective maintenance. Contribute to FMEA activities when required.
• Identify and implement improvements.

What we are looking for in a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship.
• HNC Electrical qualification preferred; Mechanical with additional electrical qualification or competence.
• Experience with automation CI tools and techniques is advantageous.
• Experience within maintenance in a manufacturing industry.
• ONC/HNC qualification.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is desirable.
