Planet Pharma is partnered with a leading medical device client seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician in Electrical Engineering.

The Maintenance Technician will ensure the smooth operation of our client's site in Rhymney, providing front-line maintenance and rapid breakdown response on a rotating shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement activities across systems such as production machinery, chemical processing equipment, textile and conversion lines, air compressors, boilers, chiller systems, HVAC, Building Management Systems (BMS), and SCADA systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems across the site.
• Maintain health and safety standards for themselves and others during engineering interventions.
• Uphold high standards of housekeeping and GMP in all work aspects.
• Determine safety standards for new and existing equipment and installation methods.

Key Requirements:

• HNC/ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering; experience managing electrical systems.
• Understanding of clean room or controlled environment controls, such as HVAC, Humidity, and Pressure Cascades.
• Broad experience in Electrical Systems, Operations, and Maintenance, including site infrastructure systems like HVAC, fire protection, and LV electrical networks.
• Proficient PC skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ideally MS Project, CAD.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition (BS-7671) IEE Regulations.
• Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems is advantageous.
