37.5 hours per week5 out of 7 per weekService Times 07:00 -19:00 Rolling Rosta£36,500 per annumSodexo rewards and benefitsJob IntroductionAre you an experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Technician with strong technical skills and a passion for facilities maintenance? Join us as a Multiskilled Engineer supporting the cutting-edge HMRC Next Generation Campus in Manchester.As a Multiskilled Engineer, you'll be part of the on-site facilities team, ensuring all building systems run smoothly.Your work will include planned preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and reactive repairs on a range of systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building management systems (BMS).Whatyou'll do:Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems including HVAC, BMS, lighting, boilers, pumps, and sanitary systems.Diagnose and rectify faults with building services equipment promptly to ensure business
continuity.Support delivery of small works and projects, working closely with the Projects Manager and ensuring efficient implementation.Act as an Authorised/Competent Person (AP/CP) in relevant technical disciplines after appropriate training.Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health and safety, and Sodexo's Zero Harm policy.Use Global Maximo and other CAFM systems to record and manage maintenance activities and compliance data.Monitor and manage performance of subcontractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.Assist in emergency response and out-of-hours maintenance on a rota basis, including weekend and intrusive works when required.Maintain up-to-date technical records, maintenance logs, and audit documentation for statutory compliance.Deliver continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Hard FM Supervisor and Technical Services teams.Facilitate and supervise contractor access to sites, ensuring health & safety and compliance standards are
upheld.Engage with internal stakeholders and building users to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational support.Participate in performance reviews and appraisals, identifying and pursuing relevant training and development opportunities.Provide real-time updates to support workflow through the digital hub and Helpdesk systems.Promote safe working practices and support a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and innovation.What you bring:Proven experience as a multiskilled engineer or building services technicianStrong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbingExcellent fault-finding and problem-solving skillsRelevant technical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamDesirableExperience in facilities management within a public sector or large-scale environmentFamiliarity with CAFM systems and permit-to-work processesKnowledge of Health & Safety regulations including Risk
