Engineering Technician - Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Are you a skilled Engineering Technician with experience in a manufacturing environment? We're looking for a proactive and reliable individual to join a global leader in ingredient and premix manufacturing. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company with over 40 years of industry experience, providing engineering support across essential production and facility operations.

Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain production equipment to ensure smooth operations and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Perform reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance on critical equipment.
  • Support production teams and respond to technical issues efficiently.
  • Prioritise work orders and communicate with stakeholders and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records through a CCMS system.
  • Manage contractors and ensure compliance with PTW & RAMS.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out project installations to current UK regulations.
  • Ensure excellent housekeeping and maintain food hygiene standards.
What We're Looking For
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar (or time-served equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment (ideally food production).
  • Experience with CMMS systems and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, and fault finding (advantageous).
  • IOSH or Legionella qualifications (desirable).
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
