What you become part of:

Wakefield Operations is the 2nd biggest plant in CCEP and the biggest soft drink plant in Europe. The Wakefield site produces just under half of GB's volume across their 8 manufacturing, and 2 preform lines. The site can produce 672,000 cans every hour and 132,000 bottles every hour. With over 550 employees across Manufacturing, QESH and Engineering, experience at our Wakefield site can lead to excellent career opportunities both in Wakefield and further afield across other GB sites and Pan-European locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Technical Training Plans: Create and develop the site's technical training strategies and initiatives in conjunction with Learning & Development (L&D).
  • Deliver Training: Provide technical training as per site training plans and OEM guidance to ensure consistent learning standards to foster a competent and knowledgeable workforce both academically and practically. You must feel comfortable delivering to groups.
  • Audit and Review: Regularly audit and update technical training materials driven through evaluation and new equipment and technologies.
  • Foster Learning Culture: Promote a balanced approach to formal training, coaching, and on-the-job learning to enhance performance.
  • Training Administration: Maintain and update training records, highlight opportunities and create plan for closure.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Apprenticeship qualified or holds an engineering based NVQ level 3 or equivalent (multi-skilled desired but not essential).
  • Operational Insight: Ability to develop training materials, conduct engaging and effective training sessions to others based on operational equipment.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the FMCG/Supply Chain sector, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Training Expertise: Proven experience in the field of learning and development with examples of delivering training using a variety of methodologies with a focus on technical training.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
  • Quality Systems Understanding: Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
