Qualifications

• Experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer or Engineering Lead.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience delivering software within Agile environments.
• Ability to influence technical decisions and mentor engineers.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• A passion for building quality software and improving engineering practices.

Engineering Tech Lead

Cardiff (Hybrid Working)

Up to £75,000 + Bonus

CPS Group are supporting an established technology-driven organisation in Cardiff who are looking for an Engineering Tech Lead to join their growing software engineering function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer or Tech Lead who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring engineers and shaping engineering practices. You’ll play a key role in guiding Agile teams, influencing architecture and helping drive the technical direction of a modern software platform.

The Role

You’ll provide hands‑on technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, supporting delivery, improving engineering standards and helping engineers grow. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders to ensure high‑quality solutions are delivered.
