Job summary

Hovis Avonmouth is looking for an Engineering Team Leader to provide hands-on engineering on the bakery floor while leading a small team of engineers in a fast-paced factory setting.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on production lines, acting as the go-to on electrical issues and PLCs. Strong H&S focus and teamwork are essential for success in this FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering.
• Experience leading a small team of engineers (Lead engineer, senior engineer, engineering team leader etc).
• History of working within a food, FMCG or industrial manufacturing environment.

So What’s It All About

This is a new role for an Engineering Team Leader at our Avonmouth bakery. In this position you will play a key role in providing hands‑on engineering expertise whilst leading a small team of engineers within our fast-paced, high pressured factory.

So What’s It All About

For this role, you will be required to conduct both planned and reactive maintenance of the bakery production lines and be the ‘go to’ person on shift for all electrical issues. Because of this, there is a requirement to be qualified electrically, and We are specifically looking for an electrically qualified engineer with strong PLC experience.

Health & safety is vital in all working environments, and the food industry is no different. As the lead engineer, driving high standards and sticking to H&S protocol is a key part of the role.

The Key Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering
• Previous experience leading a small team of engineers (Lead engineer, senior engineer, engineering team leader etc)
• History of working within a food, FMCG or industrial manufacturing environment
