Overview

Engineering Team Leader

Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £50,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off 12 hour days and nights

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day engineering operations across a high-volume production site.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and food safety standards.
  • Drive proactive maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and effective handovers.
  • Support and coach engineers in both technical tasks and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records within a CMMS system.
  • Collaborate closely with Production to improve line performance and reduce waste.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and project activities.
What You\'ll Need
  • Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications (mechanical or electrical).
  • Strong understanding of: Pneumatics, hydraulics, inverters, PLCs, and servo systems.
  • Maintenance best practices (preventive/predictive).
  • Food safety and quality standards in an FMCG or similar setting.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
