Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is expanding its Fashion & Apparel operations with a new distribution site in Burnley and seeks an Engineering Team Leader to build and guide a high-performing engineering function in a highly automated environment.

You will lead Shift Engineers, drive preventative maintenance, root cause analysis and safety-focused practices to deliver reliable equipment and improved performance. The role offers a 4 on/4 off rotating shift pattern and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications such as HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience within an automated engineering, logistics, manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong technical knowledge including electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding and reliability improvement
• Previous experience leading, coaching or developing engineering teams
• A proactive, safety-focused approach with excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills

Exciting things are happening at GXO! We're delighted to announce the expansion of our Fashion & Apparel operations with the launch of our newest distribution site in Burnley (BB10). Following significant investment, this site is being brought back to life and will become a key part of our growing UK network.

As an Engineering Team Leader, you'll support the Engineering Team Manager in leading and developing a high-performing engineering function within a highly automated environment. Combining technical expertise with people leadership, you'll help drive equipment reliability, support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely and effectively.

A superb opportunity to join a major site launch and help build a world-class engineering function, leading teams, processes and performance from the very beginning.

This is a full time, permanent position working a 4 on and 4 off rotating shift pattern of days and nights, 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £62,000.00 per annum, and 23.5 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).
