Job summary

A leading kitchen manufacturer in Barton-upon-Humber is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to supervise and lead the engineering team. Responsibilities include planning repairs, ensuring compliance, and effective communication with management. The ideal candidate has an HNC/HND in Engineering and strong management experience. This position offers a competitive salary of £41,500 - £43,500.

Job description

About The Role

We are recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader to join our expanding team based in Barton-upon-Humber. The candidate will work Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:30. The salary for this position is £41,500 - £43,500.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and leading the Engineering Team
  • Planning and scheduling day-to-day repairs and improvement projects for production machines and supporting equipment
  • Ensuring breakdowns are dealt with effectively and timely, with accurate processing in the Shire (CMMS) system
  • Maintaining engineering compliance, ensuring all equipment is safe and operational
  • Leading PPM activities in the designated area
  • Supporting the Engineering Manager and Supervisor with machine improvement plans
  • Communicating effectively with all management levels, providing status updates and actionable feedback

In addition, as a responsible person, you must read, understand, and adhere to policies and procedures related to Health and Safety, as outlined in the IMS Responsibilities document.

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge:
  • HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of delivering results
  • Self-motivated with strong prioritization skills
  • Relevant experience in engineering management, ideally in the woodworking industry; FMCG experience is a bonus
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
