Job Title: Machining & Fabrication Team Leader
Location: South Birmingham (outskirts of Redditch)
Salary: 14.00 to 18.50 per hour plus shift allowance (OTE 32 - 45k pa depending on experience)
Hours: Night / Twilight shifts - 4 day week

The Opportunity:
EMBS Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Machining & Fabrication Team Leader to join a well-established and innovative precision engineering company located near Redditch.   • Hours: Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am, Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30am with permanent Fridays off

Key Responsibilities:

As a Team Leader, you will be accountable for delivering assigned objectives by guiding your team to meet planned workloads in a timely and productive manner. You will oversee daily operations through effective shift handovers, start-of-shift briefings, and routine "Walk the Floor" management to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance, and proactively resolve quality issues or deviations from the plan.

This will be a "hands on" role where you will support various engineering activities including but not limited to machining and fabrications.

About You:
You will have demonstrated experience of working in a similar role within Aerospace, Nuclear, Power, Defence, Automotive or similar precision engineering businesses. As a Team Leader, you will have strong leadership skills and an ability to motivate and support your team to achieve set KPIs.

Essential Requirements:

  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Ability to commute to Redditch area, reside within a commutable distance or are considering relocation to this area.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English to effectively perform the role.

This position requires the successful candidate to undergo UK security clearance. To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the above essential requirements. Please note that due to the security clearance requirements, we are unable to sponsor visas for this position.
