Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd, a leading EPC contractor, is hiring a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to deliver end-to-end recruitment across UK projects and sites. You will attract, screen and select candidates for engineers, operatives and support roles, ensuring compliance with Right to Work and GDPR while aligning with client requirements.

You will build strong relationships with hiring managers, coordinate interviews, and manage agency partners where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal or agency recruitment, preferably in engineering, construction, infrastructure, water or energy.
• Experience managing multiple vacancies across different sites or projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK recruitment compliance (Right to Work, GDPR).
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment tools.
• REC membership or working towards (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Recruitment: manage vacancy briefing through to offer and onboarding.
• Stakeholder Management: build relationships with hiring managers across sites and projects.
• Candidate Attraction & Sourcing: proactively source candidates and draft job adverts to align with employer brand.
• Compliance & Onboarding: ensure recruitment complies with UK employment law and GDPR; coordinate pre-employment checks and onboarding.
• Agency Liaison: work with approved recruitment agencies to fill hard-to-fill roles.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: track vacancies and update on pipelines and time-to-hire.
