Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer / Surveyor for a long-term night-shift freelance role on a major project. The position offers £415 per night Inside IR35 and runs through to the end of 2026.

You will provide accurate setting-out and surveying support on live construction works, working within an established site team across night shifts. Previous asphalt/surfacing and aviation experience would be highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Setting Out Engineer / Surveyor.
• Competent with setting out and surveying on live construction projects.
• Aviation experience.
• Asphalt/surfacing experience desirable.
• Ability to work independently and accurately on night shifts.
• Strong understanding of site engineering and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate setting-out and surveying support to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme throughout the night.

Are you an experienced Setting Out Engineer / Surveyor looking for a long-term night-shift opportunity?

We're currently recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer / Surveyor to join a major project on a freelance basis, working full-time nights through to the end of 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who is confident with setting out and wants consistent night-shift work with a strong rate of £415 per night Inside IR35.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You'll be working as part of an established site team, providing accurate setting-out and surveying support to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme throughout the night.

The client is looking for someone who is competent and confident with setting out. Previous asphalt/surfacing experience would be highly desirable.
