Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in PSV or HGV engineering is highly desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence required; PCV licence is a bonus with training available.
• Right to work in the UK is mandatory.

Now Hiring: Shift Engineering Supervisor PSV/HGV – Glasgow - Permanent Position

Venatu Automotive is recruiting for our client for the role of Shift Engineering Supervisor at a depot in Glasgow.

This role is ideal for a PSV / HGV Engineer looking to move into leadership or an experienced supervisor seeking a new challenge in a progressive engineering environment.

The Role

• Oversee servicing and maintenance of the fleet to meet legal and safety standards
• Allocate daily workloads and manage reactive issues
• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Ensure vehicle availability to meet service needs
• Manage workshop stock and support warranty claims
• Record engineering performance and ensure environmental compliance
• Collaborate with operational teams to maintain service reliability
• Manage team performance, conduct, absence, and training

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• PSV or HGV engineering experience is highly desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence is a bonus – training available)
• Knowledge of workshop safety and compliance
• Right to work in the UK
