Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee Hard Services operations across GPA buildings in Bristol. You will coordinate maintenance activities, ensure statutory compliance and safe working practices, and manage subcontractors to maintain service quality.

The role emphasizes leadership, site inspections, RAMS reviews, and continuous improvement across a multi-site portfolio. A recognised apprenticeship and strong knowledge of M&E systems are required, with a full UK driving

Qualifications

Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering with relevant qualification and supervising experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical/building services systems and statutory health and safety compliance.
Ability to interpret drawings and maintenance documents; proficient in MS Office and CAFM systems.
Full UK Driving Licence; excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support engineering teams across multiple sites, ensuring delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
Monitor compliance with statutory legislation, health and safety requirements, company procedures, and safe systems of work.
Carry out regular site inspections, audits, quality checks, and review RAMS.
Manage specialist subcontractors, investigate technical issues, resolve service failures, and support mobilisation projects, lifecycle replacement works, and budgeting.
