Engineering Supervisor – £55,000 – Covent Garden

Location: Covent Garden

Salary: £55,000 + Plenty of Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM

One of the well-known companies in the FM and Maintenance industry is currently looking to recruit a key member of staff for a prestigious commercial office located in Covent Garden. The company provides specialist support in the operation, maintenance, and repair of building services, excelling in maintaining technically demanding blue-chip and critical buildings across the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a high-profile commercial environment and will understand the demands required to maintain it to a desired level.

The candidate should be willing to take on challenges and have an excellent understanding of the industry and sector. Since the role involves client and customer interaction throughout the day, confidence in meeting and greeting people face-to-face is essential.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a high-profile commercial environment requiring critical and non-critical maintenance. They must possess strong technical knowledge and a proven track record in the commercial building services sector. Key Duties:
  • Maintain close liaison and working relationships with clients and tenants.
  • Ensure reactive maintenance is performed in accordance with the contract.
  • Manage minor improvements.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Manage contractors.
  • Operate all building systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Prepare quotations for clients.
  • Issue relevant site permits as part of the Safe System of Work.
  • Complete PPM and reactive tasks, updating the system accordingly.
  • Conduct daily tours, report or repair defects via the Landlord/Tenant helpdesk.
  • Identify and order materials promptly.
  • Have a detailed understanding of BMS systems.
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical Installation or recognized equivalent.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 Electrical Installations.
  • 17th or 18th Edition IEE Registration or recognized equivalent.
  • Approved apprenticeship or relevant experience in Building Services.
  • Health & Safety training.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience is required.
