Job Overview

• MITIE is recruiting an experienced engineering supervisor with excellent knowledge of building services and a technical services background.
• As a supervisor, you will ensure all equipment and services across the estate are maintained and function safely. You will manage a team of engineers and ensure KPIs are met. Responsibilities include ensuring all planned maintenance is completed on schedule, prioritizing statutory and mandatory tasks, and completing reactive tasks as per priority.
• Previous experience working within a high-security environment is advantageous. You must have experience with mechanical installation and repair work, capable of handling maintenance and installation tasks as per contract requirements, and using the provided uniform and PPE. IT proficiency is necessary for accurate work recording and understanding statutory compliance.
• You will need to complete SC clearance.

Main Duties

• Supporting the engineering team with guidance and technical knowledge.
• Conducting compliance audits.
• Participating in daily calls with FM and service desk to plan engineers' work, prioritizing to prevent breaches or failures.
• Attending and assisting with project meetings.
• Managing a team of engineers, including vehicle tracking, whereabouts, compliance, and health and safety.
• Managing holiday cover.
• Tracking overtime and reviewing costs to ensure value for money.
• Arranging training for engineers to upskill and maintain qualifications.
• Handling recruitment and HR issues.
• Ordering equipment.
• Assisting with and reviewing quotations for minor works.

• A 5-year checkable work history.
• Ability to undertake security clearance checks.
• Good IT knowledge, including experience with CAFM systems, work planning systems, and Microsoft Office packages.
