Be part of something new in Londons luxury boutique hospitality scene. The Newman Hotel is opening in Summer 2025, bringing a fresh and dynamic experience to Fitzrovia.

This is your chance to shape a luxury lifestyle hotel from the ground up. As part of our pre-opening team, we're looking for a skilled and hands-on Engineering Supervisor to support our Director of Facilities and lead our engineering team. You'll oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all hotel systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly to create a seamless, safe, and comfortable experience for guests and our people alike.

About You and The Role

We're looking for an Engineering Supervisor who:

1. Thrives in a fast-paced, pre-opening environment, setting up and refining processes.
2. Has experience in engineering or maintenance, ideally in a luxury hotel.
3. Understands HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, lifts, and general maintenance.
4. Has led, trained, and supported a team to ensure smooth operations.
5. Diagnoses and resolves technical issues quickly and effectively.
6. Manages multiple tasks, prioritises urgent issues, and keeps accurate records.
7. Ensures compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
8. Communicates confidently with hotel teams, contractors, and suppliers.
9. Leads by example, takes initiative, and maintains high standards.
10. Can work shifts, including weekends and emergency callouts.
11. Holds a relevant technical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ) preferred but not essential.
