Job Title: Shift Engineering Supervisor

Schedule: 4-on, 4-off (12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineering Supervisor to join our team at a Grade II* listed government site in Central London. This is a key leadership position on a high-profile facilities management contract, ideal for a confident, technically-skilled professional with Authorised Person (AP) experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of multi-skilled engineers
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works (RW)
  • Manage electrical systems, HVAC, isolations, and switching
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and internal teams to maintain service excellence
  • Work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern covering 7am-7pm
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong background in building services (mechanical, electrical, HVAC)
  • Qualified and experienced as an Authorised Person (AP)
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and CAFM systems
  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain Counter-Terrorism Clearance (CTC)
  • 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds/NVQ in plumbing or mechanical engineering
  • Experience working on PFI contracts
