We are a well-established company known for sourcing and producing a wide range of food ingredients. We're looking for a proactive, solution-focused leader with a collaborative spirit to join our team.

What You'll Be Doing (and Why It's a Great Opportunity):

  • Lead and Develop: You'll manage and mentor a dedicated team of 3 Maintenance Engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance.

  • Hands-on Maintenance: Get involved in varied tasks from preventative maintenance schedules and reactive repairs to servicing machinery and planning installations.

  • Project Involvement: Contribute your expertise to exciting engineering projects aimed at continuous improvement of electro-mechanical equipment.

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain meticulous documentation, contribute to SOPs, conduct risk assessments, and manage on-site contractors, ensuring smooth operations.

What We're Looking For in You:

  • Electrical Expertise: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering is essential.

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience managing a team for at least 2 years, or an NVQ Level 3 equivalent in leadership or supervision.

  • Technical Prowess: Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings. An understanding of PLC programming logic is preferred.

  • Safety & Compliance: Competent to work at height and in confined spaces, with an understanding of maintaining documented audit records (knowledge of BRC is a plus).

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with operations staff, external contractors, and suppliers.

  • Tech Savvy: Computer literate with current MS Office Applications.

  • Proactive Mindset: A proactive approach to all aspects of maintenance, repair, and team development.
