Job summary

Leonardo is seeking Summer Placement Engineers to join our Electronic Warfare and Future Combat Air lines in Luton. You will work on real projects across software, systems, hardware, firmware, microwave or antenna engineering, gaining hands-on experience from day one.

Expect a challenging 9-week programme starting 28 June 2027, with mentoring, collaboration across disciplines, and potential extension or future graduate opportunities. This role is based at Capability Green, Luton.

Qualifications

• Minimum predicted 2:2 in a relevant degree discipline (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other STEM).
• Placed within a structured Summer Placement Programme with mentoring and real project work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small packages of work to time, cost and quality targets.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to support EW and FCA projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members to share knowledge and progress.
• Gain understanding of EW domain and contribute to product development and testing.
• Participate in design, testing, qualification and support activities across products.
