Job description

Henderson Products, Inc., a division of Douglas Dynamics, is seeking a summer intern for 2026 who will be responsible for working on a predetermined set of continuous improvement projects to support Operations, Engineering, and other areas. These projects will be further determined in early 2026 but will focus on removing roadblocks, making process improvements, and simplifying and standardizing work processes.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environments, with exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, and weld & grinding smoke when working in production areas.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Technological skills, including aptitude to learn manufacturing software (AutoCAD and Inventor), as well as Microsoft Office products like Excel and Word in a Windows environment
  • Organizational, detail-oriented, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player attitude

Education and Work Experience:

  • Currently a student working towards a degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
  • Previous work experience demonstrating responsibility, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work a flexible schedule
