Job summary

Alexander Steele is recruiting an Engineering Stores Supervisor to support efficient site operations in Chatham, Kent. You will manage engineering stores, oversee maintenance activities, and ensure availability of parts to minimise downtime.

The role requires experience in maintenance or engineering environments and familiarity with CMMS/ERP systems. Collaborative cross-functional work and adherence to health and safety procedures are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in a maintenance, engineering, stores, or manufacturing environment.
Good problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
Experience using CMMS, ERP, or inventory management systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance principles is desirable

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Respond to breakdowns and minimise operational downtime.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records.
Use CMMS systems to manage work orders and maintenance activities.
Maintain engineering stores, inventory records, and spare parts availability.
Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requests as required.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and company procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and stores functions.
Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and operational teams.
