Job summary

DCS Recruitment is recruiting a Storesperson to join the Blackbushe facility in Hampshire to support stores, production and dispatch activities, handling stock and components with accuracy.

You will count parts, use stock control systems, and follow health and safety procedures while developing experience with electronic and electromechanical components, training to support role-specific tasks and ongoing skills development.

Qualifications

• GCSE English or equivalent qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Strong attention to detail when counting and labelling parts.
• Understanding of safe manual handling practices.
• Good communication and collaborative work ability.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and use own initiative.
• Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Carrying out stock checks and maintaining stock records.
• Picking component kits and shortage items for production.
• Picking parts for sales orders and internal stock requisitions.
• Delivering and collecting parts between departments.
• Packing and preparing parts for dispatch.
• Completing basic mechanical checks (quantities/dimensions).
• Using stock control systems to record stock movements.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy and organised stores area.
• Following health and safety, manual handling and COSHH procedures.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce errors, prevent damage and improve efficiency.
• Supporting colleagues and adapting to changing business requirements.
