Role & Responsibilities - Engineering Stores Coordinator
- Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager and responsible for the Maintenance stores processes to enable delivery of the Business objectives against factory Key Performance Indicators.
- Lead the Engineering Stores and delivery against KPIs which contribute to the Site delivery targets.
- Support Engineering teams to exceed KPIs for schedule compliance, work volume, inventory levels, and drive proactive prevention of equipment failure.
- Work closely with the Engineering Planner to ensure engineering spares and inventory are identified, catalogued, and available to support asset reliability.
- Maintain a safe, organized, cost-effective, and proactive stores facility.
- Maintain a well-organized and safe engineering stores to minimize equipment downtime and improve performance.
- Achieve site KPIs related to stock value, accuracy, stock turns, and consignment stock.
- Establish and lead Engineering Stores processes.
- Develop the capabilities of the Engineering Stores.
- Implement robust stock management and controls, identifying continuous improvement opportunities to meet site needs.
- Proactively source alternative components, engineered parts, and suppliers that meet technical standards.
- Manage the end-to-end return process for defective and non-conforming parts.
- Check deliveries and receipt of goods in the system.
- Update and maintain a computerized stock system for all material movements.
- Organize parts for specific maintenance tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements – Engineering Stores Coordinator
- 2-3 years’ experience in engineering or stores management environment.
- Open to industry background.
- Experience with data input systems.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience is desirable.
- Experience in medium/large automated manufacturing operations with relevant safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience with spares/stock management systems.
- Ability to identify key engineering equipment is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to perform accurate calculations.
