Job summary

Terumo Aortic is seeking an experienced Engineering Shift Technician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on equipment. In this role, you will operate on a 4on 4off shift pattern, carrying out routine checks, refurbishments, and supporting project delivery, all while promoting compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Proven post qualification experience of working within a multi-disciplined maintenance environment is essential.
• Experience of maintaining a wide range of process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine checks and maintenance on equipment and associated services.
• Carry out repairs and modifications to equipment and services.
• Support and deliver projects to upgrade and install new equipment and services.
• Collect and maintain documentation to meet safety, quality and project compliance and legislation.
• Provide operational shift cover.

Job description

Key responsibilities and duties will include;

• Carrying out routine checks and maintenance on equipment and associated services
• Carry out repairs and modifications to equipment and services
• Support and deliver projects to upgrade and install new equipment and services
• Experienced in fault finding techniques and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to analyze data, report findings and recommend improvement actions
• Collect and maintain documentation to meet safety, quality and project compliance and legislation
• Actively participate in performance management objectives and demonstrate Terumo Aortic values
• Assume other responsibilities from time to time in order to support objectives and personal career development
• Provide operational shift cover

Skills and experience desired:

• Minimum HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Proven post qualification experience of working within a multi-disciplined maintenance environment is essential
• Experience of maintaining a wide range of process equipment Competent in the use of CMMS systems
• Knowledge of statistical tools and MS Office applications. Experience of working in a rotating shift team
• Previous experience in a medical device environment would be desirable
