Synergi are recruiting for an Engineering Shift Manager to join one of the leading Food Manufacturers based in Suffolk. The successful Engineering Shift Manager would be joining an experienced team with a vast amount of industry knowledge and a company who invest in their staff.

As an Engineering Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering team on shift and ensuring daily mechanical and electrical maintenance activities and standards are met. You will act as point of contact for shift engineering escalations and breakdowns of machinery.

Roles & Responsibilities as an Engineering Shift Manager:

  • Manage the day to day running of production areas
  • Support and oversee site services
  • Manage a team of maintenance engineers
  • Ensure all standards are maintained
  • Conduct reactive and planned maintenance
  • Trouble shoot breakdowns and maintain accurate records
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work safely and improve machine reliability


The ideal background of an Engineering Shift Manager:

  • Qualifications in both electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Leadership experience within FMCG
  • Knowledge of engineering regulations
