Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an Engineering Shift Manager for a Coalville site. The role balances hands-on maintenance on a state-of-the-art automated factory with leading and developing the shift team to high performance.

You will mentor, delegate workload and resolve shift issues while ensuring safe, efficient operations across day and night rotations.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Leadership experience
• Level 3 engineering qualification
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Experience of leading a shift within a large factory.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 30% hands-on maintenance on a fully automated site.
• Approximately 70% leading the shift, mentoring and delegating workload.
• Address issues and look after the shift to ensure smooth operations.

Engineering Shift Manager

Salary: £64,000 + Overtime (£1,000–£2,000 on top) + Pension

Location: Coalville
Shifts: 4's and 5's days and nights

About the Role

This is going to be any engineer’s dream to work in this state-of-the-art, fully automated, fast-paced factory. The duties will involve about 30% of hands on maintenance work within a fully automated site and 70% of leading the shift, mentoring, delegating work load, dealling with issues and generally looking after the shift.

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Leadership experience (Supervisory level is perfect)
• Level 3 engineering qualification
