A leading automation solutions provider in Milton Keynes is seeking an RM Shift Engineering Manager to manage a skilled engineering shift team in a fast-paced automated warehouse environment. This role involves overseeing maintenance delivery, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and leading team development. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and strong leadership abilities. Starting salary is £56,404 per annum with potential increase after probation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of conveyors, cranes, sortation & automation systems.
  • Familiar with PLCs, WCS/WMS, CMMS.

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an RM Shift Engineering Manager to join one of the worlds leading providers of automation solutions within intralogistics. Based on-site at a high-profile customer location, you will be responsible for managing a multi-skilled engineering shift team, driving performance, and ensuring world-class maintenance delivery within a fast-paced automated warehouse environment.

You will be the key point of contact for the customer, overseeing engineering standards, preventive maintenance, health and safety compliance, and team development.

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern of 2 x 12.25-hour days, 2 x 12.25-hour nights, followed by 6 days off.

Starting salary of £56,404 per annum increasing to £58,989 after probation plus company benefits.

Requirements:
ONC/HNC or BTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Engineering apprenticeship + IOSH or equivalent
Strong experience managing engineering teams
Knowledge of conveyors, cranes, sortation & automation systems
Familiar with PLCs, WCS/WMS, CMMS
Strong communication, leadership & coaching skills

Key Duties:
Lead the shift team and manage maintenance activities
Ensure H&S compliance and performance standards
Liaise with customer and coordinate contractors
Support technical training, appraisals, and spares control
Collaborate with other shift managers and central support
