Job description

We are looking for experienced and ambitious PSV Engineers to join Arriva, based at our Chester Depot.

Role Overview

As a PSV Engineer, your role involves carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs on a fleet of commercially operated buses & coaches, adhering to standards set by Arriva and the DVSA.

Benefits
  • £17.30 per hour
  • Full-time, permanent contract - 38 hours per week - Rotating Shifts
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x (£25.50/hr) Monday-Saturday and 2x (£34.00/hr) on Sunday
  • On-call retainer: £19.27/day (Monday to Friday), £27.46/day (Saturday-Sunday)

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
  • MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance, and quality checks
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis, ensuring reliability and maintenance meet Arriva standards (higher than DVSA)
Minimum Requirements
  • Qualifications in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent international qualification (confirmation needed)
  • A full UK driving licence with 6 points or less
  • Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical
