Engineering Services Supervisor

Building project Salary circa £57,000 London - Canary Wharf

Resourcing Group has an exciting opportunity to join the Leading FM & Real Estate business. This superb career opportunity has come about due to internal promotion. You will be joining a dynamic team supporting a major refurbishment of the client's global headquarters located in Canary Wharf. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a critical phase in the project, witnessing the commissioning process and contributing to the building's mobilization.

About the Role:

You will oversee the team that resolves and completes day-to-day work orders to meet customer satisfaction. You will be a key player in the Critical and Technical Services job function, responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage, plan, coordinate, schedule, and oversee the workload, deadlines, and daily activities of the support team to ensure effective service delivery.
  2. Provide holiday, training, and sickness cover for other shift team members.
  3. Review work logs and outstanding items through the in-house system to ensure completion.
  4. Attend installation, commissioning, and fit-out events to ensure compliance with the design, client standards, and statutory requirements. Update the site commissioning tracker daily.
  5. Oversee all building systems, including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues. Stay current with the latest technology trends.
  6. Ensure all contractors and staff comply with company, client safety, and security requirements.
  7. Seek out new vendors and maintain relationships with current ones.
  8. Assist with the development of critical services training programs.
  9. Act as the point of contact for client and management escalation.
  10. Share expertise and industry experience with the team to resolve operational problems.
  11. Assist at all stages of commissioning, witnessing, snagging, and handover of new facilities, systems, and assets to the client.
Role Requirements:
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in BS7671:2008 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition).
  • Meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.
  • In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function, with basic knowledge of related functions.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational skills and a curious, inquisitive mindset.
  • Good understanding and competency in building services PLC systems, critical cooling, water treatment, refrigeration, and HV/LV electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional IT skills.
