Job summary

Cummins seeks an enthusiastic Placement Student to join its Engineering Services team in Darlington, UK, specialising in Engineering for the Engine Business Segment. The role requires onsite presence three days a week and is aimed at students eligible for a placement year, commencing Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be eligible for a placement year and able to relocate/on-site three days a week.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across a global network.
• Good data analysis skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure prototype material, prototype build events and production launches occur timely.
• Liaise with Design, Validation, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Supply Chain; communicate technical information to functions, suppliers and customers.
• Support the Product Lifecycle and Product Data Management processes.
• Work as part of a functional team across engineering disciplines through the design, development, analysis and release of engine components.
