Overview

Engineering Services Manager – East London. Total compensation of £70,000 comprising a £65,000 salary and a £5,000 car allowance, with standard benefits including pension and healthcare. This role is based at a HQ building in London’s Docklands within a large global facilities management and engineering services provider, reporting to the Account Lead and managing day staff as well as a 24/7 team of multi-skilled shift engineers.

Working alongside the Account Lead, the Engineering Services Manager will be a strong people manager who can motivate the team and drive standards to meet contractual and client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all services are delivered in line with the key performance indicators as per contractual agreement.
  • Complete internal and client audits at the required levels for adequacy and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the building is fully compliant from an organisational perspective, including statutory and legislative compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for all HSEQ aspects.
  • Actively report non-compliance issues.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Critical Engineering to ensure all aspects of CEM are delivered in accordance with the framework.
  • Complete regular audits to ensure compliance with the CEM process; report any identified non-compliances.
  • Ensure all risks are reported internally and externally when required.
  • Apply specialist FM knowledge with initiative, creativity, and discretion; maintain commercial and financial awareness in a client environment.
  • Interface effectively at all levels throughout the organisation; be proactive and self-motivated with a hands-on approach to resolving issues before they become problems.
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical), ideally via a full apprenticeship.
  • At least five years experience as a Technical or Engineering Services Manager.
  • Experience within a financial or corporate HQ or similar environment preferred.
  • Additional training such as HV/LV authorisation, 2391, IOSH/NEBOSH Managing Safely is preferable.
