Job description

Engineering Scheduler & Stock Controller – Food Manufacturing

Merseyside

Hours – Monday to Friday

Salary – £30k-£35k

I’m currently working with a well-established food manufacturing business in their search for an Engineering Scheduler & Stock Controller to join their operations team at their Merseyside site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone highly organised and detail-oriented, who enjoys working cross-functionally and wants to play a key role in supporting both the engineering and operations teams.

What the Role Involves:

  • Coordinating and maintaining planned maintenance schedules to help boost equipment reliability and minimise downtime
  • Tracking progress on engineering tasks and updating schedules as needed
  • Collecting and organising engineering documentation to help build a comprehensive technical library
  • Managing the engineering stores – from stock control to inventory reporting
  • Ensuring the availability of critical parts by maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Supporting site compliance activities, inspections, and ad hoc engineering projects
  • Reporting on budget spend and maintenance KPIs (e.g. schedule completion rates)

What They’re Looking For:

  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to multitask and stay on top of changing priorities
  • Great communication skills and the confidence to liaise across departments
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of purchasing systems and stock control practices
  • A genuine interest in learning and developing within the role

If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a role with both structure and variety, this could be a great fit. It’s an exciting time to join the business as they continue to invest in their people and processes.

If this sounds like something you’d be open to hearing more about, apply with a recent CV and we will be in touch.
