Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. is offering a 12-month undergraduate placement in Supply Chain starting July 2026 at our UK sites, including Leicester. You will work on projects that matter, gain guidance and development, and be part of a fast-paced, energetic environment with a large, diverse team.

As a placement student, you will support the Leicester Engineering Reliability team, review asset data, use CAD, and deliver small-scale projects while developing valuable engineering and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• RTW for the duration of the full-time placement (July 2027–July 2028).
• Penultimate year of university with sandwich placement option.
• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Curiosity and willingness to challenge established ways.

Responsibilities

• Support the Leicester Engineering Reliability team with site-wide improvements.
• Review asset performance and MTBF data to identify priorities.
• Design and deliver small-scale repair/maintenance projects with in-house teams.
• Use CAD systems to support design and manufacture solutions.
• Develop knowledge of asset life cycle management and monitoring tech.
• Apply project management to plan and deliver reliability initiatives.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and OEMs.
• Develop robust solutions balancing operation, sustainability and pep+ priorities.
• Contribute real-life objectives and measurable impact to the department.

We are looking for enthusiastic undergraduates to join our Supply Chain team on a 12-month placement programme starting in July 2026 on a full time basis.

Everyday millions of people in the UK enjoy our oats, snacks, juices and beverages. As a placement student within Supply Chain, you will have the opportunity to join our 4,500 strong team who are behind these household names. As a function we are spread across 10 sites which include our Quaker Oats Mill in Cupar and our Walkers Crisp factory in Leicester - the largest crisp factory in the world.

Responsibilities

In this placement you will:

• Support the Leicester Engineering Reliability team in delivering site-wide improvements to asset reliability through condition-based monitoring and data analysis
• Review asset performance and Mean Time to Failure data to identify priority areas for engineering improvement
• Design and deliver small-scale repair and maintenance projects alongside in-house engineering teams to improve site processes and equipment performance.
• Use CAD systems to support the design and manufacture of solutions that meet site requirements
• Develop practical knowledge of asset life cycle management and condition-based monitoring technologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Apply project management skills to plan, coordinate and deliver reliability improvement initiatives
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and original equipment manufacturers to support project delivery
• Develop robust solutions to defined engineering challenges, balancing operational, sustainability and pep+ priorities
• Be given real-life objectives to work on and will be expected to make a noticeable contribution to your department

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

• Students that have the full RTW for the duration of the full time placement (July 2027-July 2028).
• Students currently in their penultimate year of university studies, where the course includes the option of completing a sandwich placement before returning to study after the placement.
• Following path to a degree in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related disciplines
• An intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge accepted ways of doing things
