Engineering Project Manager

Salary: Up to c.£60,000 + Benefits

We’re working with a successful food manufacturer in the north-west. Part of a wider group, they’re continuing to invest heavily in their site and need an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a wide range of engineering projects.

About the Role

This is a busy, challenging role offering plenty of variety. The business is in good shape – they’re profitable, produce great products, and have a long-term project plan in place.

You’ll be leading and delivering projects of all shapes and sizes, from relatively small upgrades through to major Capex initiatives. There’s a strong, supportive team in place and some of things you’ll be doing will include:

  • Leading the full lifecycle of capital projects, from initial conception through to planning, budgeting, commissioning and handover. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget, and meet the operational needs of the business. Identifying areas for improvement and supporting CI initiatives. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in Operations, NPD, Technical, and Engineering. Ensuring all work is carried out safely.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in successfully delivering a range of engineering projects in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment.

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience of project management experience. Demonstrable knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety in an engineering or construction setting. Able to manage large budgets, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time. Proactive, results focused mindset, able to manage a busy workload in a fast-paced, complex environment. Relevant project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2) would be ideal but is not essential.
