Job summary

A leading recruitment platform in the UK is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to oversee multi-site projects in automation and FMCG sectors. The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Engineering Project Manager

Multi-site role (travel flexibility required) £70,000 - £80,000 Automation / FMCG / Airports

Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:
  1. Site-based project management of internal teams and contractors
  2. Communication across teams and to project stakeholders
  3. Equipment installation/commissioning
  4. Coordinate project technical support, taking ownership of problems and seeing them through to resolution
  5. Maintain and communicate project technical documentation
  6. Conduct risk assessments
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders
  8. Health and safety management (CDM knowledge preferable)
Requirements:
  • An engineering qualification, to HND or Degree level
  • 3-5 years of engineering or project management experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, airports, FMCG distribution, or similar fields
  • Ideally a H&S qualification or strong working knowledge (IOSH, CDM, or NEBOSH)
  • Knowledge of controls and automation
  • Ability to design and propose alternative solutions when faced with project barriers
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to monitor, report, and communicate progress or barriers to progress with various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and ideally MS Project
  • The ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Demonstrate a balanced and considered approach to problem resolution
  • Effective communication skills and ability to facilitate compromises where appropriate
