Job summary

MMD Centre of Excellence Limited is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to deliver engineering projects, drive governance and standardisation across the Group, and coordinate between engineering teams, suppliers and customers globally.

The role requires strong knowledge of MMD equipment and engineering practices, extensive project leadership experience, and a willingness to travel internationally to support group activities and customer projects.

Qualifications

• HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Operations Management or a related technical discipline.
• PMP qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years' experience within mining, bulk materials handling or heavy engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of MMD equipment, products and engineering practices.
• Demonstrable experience delivering engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes and engineering specifications.
• Experience supporting technical tender reviews and engineering approvals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate engineering activities across multiple international locations.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from concept through to implementation.
• Coordinate engineering activities between Group companies, suppliers and project teams.
• Lead and coordinate the technical review of Group tenders and proposals, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and requirements.
• Assist with engineering governance, design reviews and project approvals.
• Monitor project progress, risks, budgets and deliverables.
• Support engineering change management and document control.
• Capture lessons learned from completed projects and incorporate improvements into future engineering standards.
• Provide technical support to sales offices, manufacturing facilities and customer projects.
• Provide engineering support to Group companies by sharing technical knowledge and mentoring project teams.
• Support the engineering review and approval process for Group tenders and proposals.
• Coordinate lessons learned and incorporate into standards.
• Review project deliverables for compliance with established practices.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, documentation and standardisation across the Group.
• Coordinate engineering resources across Group companies for strategic projects.
• Provide project planning, governance and reporting support for major Group development programmes.
• Travel internationally to support engineering projects and meetings.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing facilities and sales offices worldwide, supporting strategic engineering projects, developing engineering standards and procedures, reviewing technical tenders, and ensuring consistency across Group engineering activities.

The role requires extensive knowledge of MMD equipment, engineering processes and bulk materials handling applications. International travel will be required to support Group companies, customer projects and engineering activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years' experience within mining, bulk materials handling or heavy engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of MMD equipment, products and engineering practices.
• Demonstrable experience delivering engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes and engineering specifications.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within the MMD Group.

• Familiarity with engineering change management processes.
• Experience supporting international engineering teams.
