Project Delivery Team Leader

Are you passionate about powering your career and contributing to the evolving energy industry? We are seeking a Project Delivery Team Leader to join our Major Projects operations team. You will be instrumental in delivering complex high-voltage construction projects, leading, developing, and supporting a team of skilled operational engineers.

As a Project Delivery Team Leader, you will manage a team of operational engineers (Senior Authorised Persons) to deliver construction projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

We offer a competitive salary of £68,286 - £80,335 plus up to 10% bonus, along with benefits such as:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and utilize resources effectively
  • Lead, manage, and supervise your team
  • Oversee training and development
  • Conduct operational assessments
  • Support your team with operational duties, including 24/7 restoration
  • Investigate accidents and incidents
  • Manage network risks within your team
  • Perform safety, operational, quality, environmental, and business audits
  • Model operational excellence for your team
  • Possess HV and EHV operational experience and authorizations
  • Hold current UK-based Senior Authorised Person authorizations and regularly utilize them
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills
  • Deliver projects successfully within time, budget, and quality constraints
Qualifications and Experience:
  • HNC, HND, degree, or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least three years of operational experience as an SAP
  • Existing HV or EHV Senior Authorised Person status on a UK distribution or transmission network or privately operated electricity network
  • NEBOSH/IOSH or similar health and safety qualification
