GE Vernova is seeking an Engineering Project Information Controller and Coordinator to manage and streamline project engineering information. This role involves facilitating communication between teams and ensuring effective document control for naval projects, offering a dynamic work environment focused on innovation and professional growth.
The Engineering Project Information Controller and Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and coordinating project engineering information and documentation, ensuring effective communication with customers and stakeholders and between equipment teams, and supporting Naval Power and Propulsion projects and programs within GE Vernova's Naval business sector. The ideal candidate will show a strong interest in good project level information organisation and in document control and customer communications, alongside familiarity with IBM's Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) system or similar engineering information management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the document control processes to ensure the integrity and accessibility of engineering information throughout the project team.
Coordinate customer communications, ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of engineering information related to projects and programs.
Help to administer and maintain the IBM ELM system to support engineering information management.
Collaborate with project teams to enhance documentation practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Develop and implement strategies for efficient document and information management, focusing on operational excellence.
Ensure adherence to data security and privacy standards, especially for confidential and highly confidential information, export-controlled information, and government protectively marked information.
Facilitate effective communication between engineering, project management, and customer service teams.
Provide training and guidance to team members on document control and customer communication best practices and support those teams to deliver best practice for the project.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising information and document management systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience in document control and information management within an engineering or technical setting.
Familiarity with IBM's Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) system or similar engineering information management system.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Experience in the Naval or defence sector is desirable.
UK Nationality, not dual national, SC Clearance required.
