Job summary

LA International is seeking an Engineering Process Architect to design and optimise engineering processes and governance frameworks for Major Service Change within MOD contexts. You will integrate delivery tooling, support supplier processes, and provide technical assurance to improve delivery and compliance.

The role requires strong systems engineering expertise, experience with governance frameworks, and clear communications with suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong technical engineering background in systems design or integration.
• Experience designing and implementing engineering processes and governance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle methodologies.
• Experience supporting complex programmes or major service changes.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery pipelines, automated testing and engineering tooling.
• Experience assessing engineering processes against governance requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with suppliers and senior technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and process-improvement capabilities.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
• Experience in MOD, defence or similar complex environments is advantageous.

Engineering Process Architect Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise engineering processes and governance frameworks supporting Major Service Change.
• Work with MOD stakeholders to define engineering processes that accommodate different categories of service change.
• Integrate continuous delivery pipeline tooling and automated testing into engineering processes.
• Support the development and improvement of supplier engineering processes, governance and associated tooling.
• Assess supplier processes against MOD engineering standards and governance requirements.
• Provide technical assurance and recommendations to improve engineering delivery.
• Advise MOD and supplier stakeholders on engineering process design, implementation and compliance.
• Ensure engineering processes support effective systems integration and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Identify process inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities.

Engineering Process Architect Skills And Experience

• Strong technical engineering background with experience in systems design, integration or related disciplines.
• Proven experience designing, developing and implementing engineering processes and governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and engineering lifecycle methodologies.
• Experience supporting complex engineering programmes or major service change initiatives.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery pipelines, automated testing and engineering tooling.
• Experience assessing engineering processes against governance and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering delivery and technical integration.
• Experience working with suppliers and senior technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and technical advisory skills.
• Experience working within MOD, Defence or other complex engineering environments would be advantageous.
• Relevant engineering or technical qualifications would be desirable.
• Experience with project management methodologies and engineering lifecycle frameworks would be beneficial.
