Job description

We have a fantastic job opportunity for an Engineering Planner to join our manufacturing site at Rathbones Manufacturing Site, Wakefield. You will report to the Site Engineering Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring our engineers have the necessary tools and equipment to maintain full operational capacity, overseeing work planning and control across all assets within the site boundary, including utilities and infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare, communicate, and deliver a weekly maintenance plan to optimize the use of technical resources, ensuring assets are ready for production.
  2. Lead long-term planning aligned with production needs to drive resource efficiency.
  3. Manage CMMS master data and serve as a CMMS super user, training colleagues and analyzing performance data to improve maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.
  4. Foster a proactive engineering culture focused on equipment improvement.
  5. Handle all administrative tasks within the Engineering department, including inventory control, contractor management, raising POs in Oracle, and managing engineering documents.
About You
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to set up and manage engineering planning processes and reports.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Calm demeanor with the ability to positively engage with production teams to coordinate equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PPM systems and CMMS setup and management.
