At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture, and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology, as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.

The Opportunity

The Engineering Planner plays a critical role in driving efficient, effective, and compliant engineering activity across the site. The role is responsible for planning engineering and maintenance activities while ensuring the availability of resources, spares, and equipment. This position supports operational reliability and continuous improvement by owning the engineering planning process, managing KPIs, and optimising the engineering stores inventory in alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and owning engineering and maintenance plans for routine and project-based activities, including coordination of shutdowns, preventive, and corrective maintenance planning.
  2. Managing spares and consumables to ensure availability ahead of planned work, minimizing downtime through proactive inventory management.
  3. Managing and reporting on key engineering KPIs such as schedule adherence, PM/Breakdown PM ratios, mean time to repair, and downtime trends, providing insights and recommendations to maintenance leadership.
  4. Owning inventory processes in engineering stores, including classification, stock levels, critical spares review, and obsolescence management, and leading continuous improvement in materials management.
  5. Engaging with stakeholders and managing supplier relationships for material planning, performance tracking, and issue resolution, including cross-functional collaboration with engineering, facilities, utilities, supply chain, and operations leaders.

Who We Are Looking For

Do You Have?

  • Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (HNC/HND or higher preferred).
  • Planning or maintenance certification (e.g., SMRP, CMRP, APM) would be desirable.
  • Experience in a regulated industry is essential.
  • Pharmaceutical experience and understanding of industry standards (GMP, GEP, FDA, MHRA) are preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting maintenance planning and scheduling initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS, with a strong preference for SAP (PM).
