Job summary

Omega, a world leader in advanced technical solutions for the Energy and Subsea sector, is seeking an Engineering Planner in Reading. You will develop and manage detailed engineering schedules, coordinating scope activities and resource planning to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Reporting to the Engineering Planning Manager, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders, identify risks, and drive process improvements to support complex programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and scheduling within advanced manufacturing
• Demonstrable experience of managing complex engineering schedules
• Proficient in SAP

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update detailed engineering schedules for projects and services.
• Integrate schedules with overall scope timelines and client requirements.
• Analysis, monitor and report on schedule progress, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues
• Coordinate engineering activities with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Allocate engineering resources effectively to meet project demands.
• Collaborate with resource managers to ensure the availability of required skills and personnel.
• Identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies and scenario plans.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Rate: £24.00/hr to £32.00/hr (PAYE or PAYE Umbrella)

Job Role - Engineering Planner

Reporting to the Engineering Planning Manager the Engineering Planner shall be responsible for developing and managing detailed engineering schedules, coordinating scope activities, resource planning of engineering groups and ensuring the successful delivery of scopes within budget and on time

• Create, maintain, and update detailed engineering schedules for projects and services.
• Integrate schedules with overall scope timelines and client requirements.
