Job Description:

The Engineering Planner / Engineering Maintenance Planner offers a basic salary of £38,570 working for a PLC listed, market-leading manufacturer based at their Throckley factory near Newcastle.

The Engineering Planner / Engineering Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Site Engineering Manager and Engineering Team Leaders to maximize the performance of engineering operations. Responsibilities include work planning for the maintenance team and contract labour, including shutdowns and PPMs.

Main duties of Engineering Planner / Engineering Maintenance Planner:
  • Lead maintenance shutdown coordination, establishing best engineering practices
  • Control and update the engineering shift plan for all personnel and contractors
  • Manage and prioritize a work backlog for maintenance activities
  • Participate in implementing new CMMS and T-card systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational managers to schedule work for asset reliability
  • Coordinate routine maintenance with production and services, ensuring efficient execution and cost management
  • Manage records and documentation for all plant and equipment, including insurance records
  • Coordinate contractor activities to ensure safety and quality standards are met
Experience required:
  • CMMS and Maintenance Planning experience
  • Strong organizational skills for resource planning and coordination
  • Engineering qualifications (NVQ3, HNC)
  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills to improve efficiency
