Job description

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Engineering Planner to support our FMCG clients' maintenance and reliability strategies. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of their engineering team by managing work schedules, optimising planned maintenance, and improving overall equipment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan & Schedule Maintenance – Develop, coordinate, and improve planned maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
  2. CMMS Management – Maintain and optimise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate reporting and data integrity.
  3. Performance Analysis – Analyse equipment downtime and work order history to drive continuous improvement and increase asset efficiency.
  4. Preventative Maintenance – Implement strategies to transition from reactive to proactive maintenance, reducing unplanned downtime.
  5. Team Support – Work closely with engineers, production teams, and site leadership to ensure maintenance schedules align with operational needs.
  6. Continuous Improvement – Support site-wide engineering improvement projects using CI/Lean methodologies.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Engineering background (apprenticeship/day release training preferred).
  2. Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, Tier 1 automotive, or industrial environments.
  3. Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
  4. Proficiency with CMMS systems and high-level computer literacy.
  5. Knowledge of condition monitoring and preventative maintenance strategies.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
