Job description

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Planner to join our Engineering Department at Myton Food Group’s Greenside Manufacturing site.

In this role, you will primarily focus on the financial planning and budgeting of the Engineering Department, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and supporting the smooth operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and manage the Engineering Department’s budgets and financial plans.
  
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure projects and maintenance activities are cost-effective and delivered within budget.
  
• Analyse expenditure and performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve budget forecasting accuracy.
  
• Prepare regular financial reports and provide insights and recommendations to Engineering leadership.
  
• Support procurement and inventory management to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to budgets, spending, and forecasts.
  
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure financial plans support production and operational goals.

About you

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering planning, budgeting, or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
  
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with budgeting or planning software.
  
• Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
