Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Southampton is seeking a passionate People Partner to support the Integrated Sensing & Protection Line within Electronics UK. You will partner with senior leaders, focusing on Engineering, to deliver the UK People Plan and drive culture, development, and performance across a dynamic defence sector team.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR generalist role with exposure to employee relations and core HR activities.
• A genuine passion for people and an ambition to develop your career in HR business partnering.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at different levels, establishing credibility through sound judgement and collaboration.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and experience applying HR policies in a practical environment.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• An interest in understanding how a business operates and how effective people practices contribute to its success.
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or working towards) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusted relationships with managers and employees, providing practical, commercially aware HR advice.
• Work with Senior People Partners to deliver the UK People Plan and align priorities with the business.
• Provide dedicated people partnering support to the Engineering population in a highly technical environment.
• Support leaders on performance management, employee engagement, attendance, development and employee relations.
• Lead or support people projects and change initiatives to strengthen culture and organisational effectiveness.
• Use people data and insights to identify trends and inform decisions, supporting business performance.
• Coach managers in developing leadership capability and fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Champion inclusion, employee experience and continuous improvement across the organisation.
